Atlanta Feb 28 '07
Atlanta.
Another full day of driving and being excited to be here, then into the sound check at the club. The sound is always so good here in the US they really seem to have it sorted when it comes to it, my guitar sounds amazing. Thanks Mr Olson. About 120 people turned up for the show, they loved what we gave them and afterwards I signed quite a few CD’s. One couple drove all the way from Florida to see the show, wow! Our first good meal of the tour was had in the Thai across the street from the club, they even had sparkling water, I was thrilled. After the show we drove for a few hours to the next hotel. Next to a Cracker Barrel restaurant on some interstate. We know how to live. Melvis was in top form, I think we are all having a nice time, gig two…more to go. I was in bed by 2 am. 10 hours behind the wheel and a fine show in lovely Atlanta. I remembered Rosie’s Cantina from our first tour way back when… Squeeze in their hey day of touring in a Chevy van. So long ago.

Here in America Feb 26 '07
Nashville.
Well here we are, Dorie, Melvin and me here in Nashville playing our first show of the tour. A small and polite crowd of about 50 people sat and enjoyed the show, it was so good to be back in the saddle. 10 years after. Our set was live on local radio, and like most US shows the sound was really good on stage. Melvin played out of his skin, Dorie was her usual calm self being ever so wonderful in support. Some familiar faces in the crowd made me feel very good about being here, its been such a long time after all. Our hotel is on music row, on the outskirts of the city itself. I can see the tall buildings off in the distance as we find ourselves snug here in the Best Western, where every other room seems to have a yapping dog in it, must be a dog show going on. I have changed room twice but the yapping seems to be everywhere so I have given in to the canine world of Nashville.
One down 20 to go. Off for breakfast and then Atlanta. I want to thank Emma for getting me here, Peter for his support, Glenn for his belief in me and the band Melvin and Dorie. Stuart and Harry our crew. So here we are, come and see us

Leslie Difford Feb 10 '07
My brother Leslie died last night aged 59, he was my biggest fan and i love him, i will miss his company and his never ending desire to see me in the charts and back on the road with Glenn. Today im recording my album, he heard the roughs last week. The truth is im his biggest fan and wish for him an easy journey into the heavens above, whenever i look out into a crowded room i will see him. Goodnight Leslie....
